Resident/Family Testimonials
Nancy Picone, Resident: “I lived in
my home for 11 years but then realized that I needed more assistance with
my daily activities and a place that ensured I was safe. With the
help and recommendations of my family and friends, I came to Magnolia Gardens.
After looking at several places, I chose Magnolia Gardens because of the
activities offered and it just had so much more!”
Sylvia Bell, daughter of resident:
“My mom and dad had been living in Brooklyn until it became necessary for
my dad to reside at Green Acres Manor and my mom came to live at my house.
Daily, for two years, I took my mom to spend the afternoons with my dad.
When Magnolia Gardens was under construction, my mom and I realized that
this would be the perfect solution to our situation. She could live
at Magnolia Gardens and go see my dad whenever she desired, enabling me
and my husband to live a less regimented life. We signed up for a
room before it was even open!”
Lynn O’Connor, Resident: “Magnolia
Gardens is the place for me…why? Because of the family like atmosphere.
Residents and staff made me feel at home and helped me adjust.”
Mike Goldman, son of resident: “My experience
as a manufacturer’s representative in the health care industry gave me
the guidelines that helped select Magnolia Gardens for my dad. I
looked for eye appealing cleanliness, adult activities and staff stability
all of which I was able to find in conveniently located Magnolia Gardens.
These qualities made selecting Magnolia Gardens very easy and best of all,
my dad loves the constant care and attention he receives!”
Joseph Norcross, Resident:
“Four years ago, I reconciled to the fact that my physical condition and
circumstances required a change in my living arrangement. After considering
the alternatives and choosing Magnolia Gardens, I was pleased to find that
Magnolia Gardens would accept me! Like everyone, I was impressed
quickly by the fact that Magnolia Gardens was more than just a handsome
building. Primarily that the people who worked there were competent,
friendly and alert to the changes in the needs and wants of the residents.
I didn’t desert my home 4 years ago, I just moved to a new home.”
June Kruetzer, daughter of resident:
“When it became necessary for my mother to go into an assisted living facility,
we visited nearly all in the area. Magnolia Gardens was our choice
and we have not regretted it. On first impression the inviting, comfortable
lobby was welcoming. Many comfortable seating areas for both resident
and visitors made for a feeling of quiet elegance. It was then and
has been a gathering place for residents but there were quiet areas too
where visitors could spend more private time with their family members.
For me though, it was the friendly, collegial relationships between the
staff and residents. The residents are treated with dignity and a
sense of joy. There are a lot of smiles, laughter and greetings.
Encouragement, care and fun seem to be the order of the day, everyday.
I’m grateful that a place like Magnolia Gardens exists so that I can rest
easy knowing my mother is in good hands.
Family of Angela Lau: “When Mom could
no longer care for herself, our family faced the decision to find her a
new home where she would be safe and happy for the rest of her years.
Our priority was a safe environment providing good care, good friends and
good food, while preserving her dignity and independence. We found
all of these at Magnolia Gardens! The facility meets, exceeds and
excels in all of these needs. The staff associates are truly like
family and the friendly open atmosphere has restored her happy-go-lucky
personality!
